Delete account
You can remove your account yourself at any time. Here’s how it works, what disappears and what we have to keep.
In the app
As a job seeker: “Edit profile” → “Delete account”. As an employer: “Settings” → “Account” → “Delete account”. You confirm the deletion in one extra step.
In the web version
The same path is available in the web version of LazyHead — you don’t need a mobile app for it.
By email (if you’ve lost access)
Write to privacy@lazyhead.at . To protect your account, we’ll ask you to confirm your identity before deleting data.
What is deleted or anonymised
- Profile and application details: name, photo, address and coordinates, languages, driving licence, salary expectations, date of birth and gender
- Your CV — the PDF file is physically removed from storage
- Files you shared in chats, and your avatar
- Company verification documents — copies of IDs and register extracts are physically deleted
- Push tokens and the sessions of your signed-in devices
- Your email address is replaced with an anonymous one, so the account can no longer be traced back to you
- Your company’s vacancies are archived and can no longer be found
Messages in chats and support
The text of your messages is replaced with “[deleted]”. The conversation itself stays with the other person — otherwise their own thread would be left without context. Your account then appears there only as a deleted account.
What we have to keep by law
- Invoices and accounting records: 7 years (§ 132 Austrian BAO)
- Evidence for moderation complaints: a copy of the disputed content as the basis for the measure taken
- The record of your consents
- The immutable log of administrator actions
This retention is limited to its legal purpose — the data is no longer used to operate the platform. Deleted data disappears from backups within the usual backup cycles.
